TWRP 2.8.7.3 Material Play megthebest

Archive contain Boot Unlocked and TWRP Material Play ported by megthebest!

Tested successfully with V10 June 2016 rom.

 

1- Download and Install correctly Mediatek Preloader drivers

( Take care on Windows 8.1/10 drivers, you need to disable driver signature before install:)

2- enter Engineering Mode MTK with Dialer code *#*#3646633#*#*, go into log and debugging, tap on user2root and tap on ROOT, shut down smartphone.

3- With flashtool load MT6735_Android_Scatter-Play.txt 

4- Select download and connect smartphone to pc (smartphone must be powered off)…  in few seconds will start the process and the new TWRP will be flashed.

3.1- To restore original stock recovery, you need load ad point 3 the file  MT6735_Android_Scatter.txt

P.P.S to enter in the recovery, power off the smartphone, push VOL + and Power at the same time, you will see three words with VOL + you move selection, with VOL – you must select Recovery

To have root flash with TWRP the archive supersu.zip found here: https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/

I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone, take care that after TWRP install and Root, you will not be able to receive OTA updates, for that you need to flash stock rom of remove TWRP e root (supersu)

 

This is not my work it is megthebest's work I only updated it so that it worked with the latest official firmware, please give all credit to him. Tested on my phone and it works. use at own risk.

Unnoffical BlissPOP Custom rom port for Cubot Note S

DISCLAIMER: This rom is currently in testing although I have ran it on my device with no serious issues I will not be responsible for any damage to your device.

Features:

All CM12.1 features

Additional customisation options

BlissPOP Theme Engine 

Pre-Rooted

Lots more but I'll let you find them :)

Steps to install:

Copy BlissPOP zip, OpenGapps and FixRIL.zip onto root of SDCard

Boot into Twrp Recovery and do factory reset

Flash ROM zip

Flash OpenGapps

Flash FixRIL.zip

Reboot System

Working:

Calls(RIL)

Wifi

Bluetooth

Data

Video Playback

Sound

Google Services

Probably other things

Not Working:

Files such as music and images are detected from SD card but SD Card does not show up in file manager or through MTP mode on PC (Have potential fix but needs some more testing due to bootloop)

Videos wont save in camera app

Front Camera wont show up (probably due to lib files being incompatible, will try and release a hot fix soon. Can someone test other camera apps and snapchat and confirm if they also have this issue)

You tell me –> It would take me a long time to test every possible combination of apps and settings etc to find bugs so it would be great if you can report back on any bugs you find and if possible provide a logcat.

Some Tips:

Recommend setting DPI to 240 because we have larger screen so more space. Default is 320 this can be changed in Display –> Advanced Display Settings

Install Google Now launcher if you dont like Alphabet App drawer

CYANOGENMOD 12.1

CUBOT X12  no Root

without Gapps

for Root —> Download rootx12.zip and Flash it via TWRP

for Gapps —> Download the last Gapps from OpenGapps.org

                    – Flash it with TWRP

                    – Reboot and sign in

                    – Reboot the Device again —-> Finish

BUGS:

- Videoplayback

-Sound over Bluetooth

-App2Sd –> fix in V4 (10.7.16)

Install ROM :

Install with SP MDT:

1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.

2). Remove the battery and insert it again (if the battery is removable)

3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device

4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.

5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe

6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).

8). Click "Start all".

9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,

 remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.

10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.

11). Completed.

This ROM is a BETA !!!!!!!!!!!!

Gapps include -  No Rooted

Language support : Multilang

 

Install ROM :

- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select "scatter-Loading" and search MT6580_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- Select "Download Only" or if upgrade "Firmware upgrade"
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery (if the battery is removable) and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).

- Press “Download” button to start
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Procedure

Official Cubot Marshmallow running

Flash TWRP

Flash rom

Flash gapps [The rom has micro gapps (google playstore and services) though so you can install the gapps you need later] if desired

Flash supersu 2.76  (systemless) if desired

Flash xposed 86.2 (systemless) if desired. 

xposed Framework zip sdk23 version 82 or less will work just fine, versions 83 or more will work fine too but it breaks the stock gallery app causing it to FC.

Cubot Dinosaur – Recovery TWRP v. 3.0.2-1 by jemmini (4PDA) for ROM v05 e v10

Note: please sue the recovery corresponding to your ROM version

Download and decompress the archive.

- Installation with phone rooted
If the device is rooted you can use app like Flashify/rashr to flash the new recovery.
Install the app (Falshify/Rshr/etc).
Copy the recovery.img file into the root of internal or external memory.
Run the app select recovery.img file and flash.

- Installation with phone NOT rooted
If the device is not rooted, you have to use Falshtool.
If you didn't install USB preloader driver, downlaod and install it (please take care digital sign disable in Windows 8/8.1/10).
Download and decompress a recent version of Flashtool.
Run Falshtool.
Select the scatter in the archive that you downloaded and decompressed.
Automatically Falshtool select DOWNLOAD ONLY mode (please check).
Now select in Falshtool the button DOWNLOAD.
Only NOW connect the phone via USB cable and wait until process will finish (green tick).
Disconnect the phone from USB cable.

To test the new recovery, from device powered off press POWER and VOL+ until appera recovery screen.
